Salt Lake City, Utah, USA—An official proclamation from the Salt Lake County Mayor’s office was signed and delivered to representatives of the local InfoComm International association declaring that October 13 – 19, 2013 will be AV Week in the state of Utah.
The proclamation ceremony was attended by Listen Technologies employees and fellow colleagues from GENCOMM. Representatives from the Salt Lake County Mayor Ben McAdams’ office were also in attendance to read and deliver the proclamation.
Each year, InfoComm International hosts AV Week in October. The purpose of AV Week is to build awareness to the industry, the prevalence AV plays in our lives, the expertise available from skilled, certified professionals and the exciting career opportunities. The AV industry provides better experiences in schools, places of worship, theaters, government offices, stadiums, and many other settings.
“We appreciate Mayor McAdams signing the proclamation,” said Kristin Rector, Director of Marketing Services at Listen. “In doing so it affirms the impact of the AV industry in Utah. Whether you go to Abravanel Hall, Rio Tinto Stadium, Harmon’s, City Creek Center, Zion Lutheran Church, West High, or the Salt Lake International Airport, AV is a part of impacting our experiences. The AV industry also benefits our economy through available technologies, jobs and revenues.”
Listen Technologies, along with other AV companies in Utah, will be participating in and hosting several events during AV Week (October 13 – 19, 2013). These events will highlight all of the ways the AV industry impacts the lives of everyday citizens in Utah and will bring more awareness to the industry.
