ProAVNews: Extron Now Shipping! Compact 4K/60 EDID Emulation for HDMI Sources

The Extron EDID 101H 4K PLUS EDID emulator is now available. Supporting HDMI sources with resolutions up to 4K/60 and data rates up to 18 Gbps, the EDID 101H 4K PLUS features EDID Minder®, an Extron-exclusive technology that provides automatic and continuous EDID management. The technology ensures that the connected source reliably provides the optimal resolution and frame rate upon power up. Pre-stored EDID information is communicated to the source based on user-selected resolution and refresh rate. Alternatively, the emulator can transmit EDID that has been captured and stored from a connected display. A compact 1" high, quarter-rack width form factor provides convenient, discreet installation.
